? DH Andres Torres went 1-for-3 with a run scored, extending his hitting streak to 22 games (31-for-82, .378) … his current hitting streak ranks fourth longest in Iowa history.
? The last I-Cub to have a hitting streak longer than 22 games was Roosevelt Brown, who had a 26-gamer from August 6 to September 3, 1999. … Steve Saggs (1977) and Mike Squires (1978) hold the franchise’s longest streaks with 33-games apiece.
? RHP Jose Ascanio converted his seventh save with a scoreless ninth inning … his seven saves rank fourth in the Pacific Coast League.

Tennessee trumped Chattanooga, 15-7, marking the first time this season the Smokies have scored double digit runs in a game, as well as the largest margin of victory (eight runs).

? C Steve Clevenger ignited the Smokies offense with a two-run triple in the first inning … he finished the game 1-for-3 with three RBI.
? CF Tyler Colvin went 2-for-4 with two walks, three RBI, and two runs scored, marking his second three-RBI game of the season … he leads the Smokies with 15 RBI.
? The top of the order (Matt Camp, Nate Spears, and Colvin) combined to go 5-for-13 with seven RBI, three walks, and six runs scored.
? RHP Greg Reinhard tossed 3.0 hitless innings of relief, earning his second save of the season … he has held opponents scoreless in eight of 11 outings and hitless in three.

Daytona attempted a comeback in the eighth inning, but fell short as Sarasota took the 5-1 win.

? LF Yusuf Carter recorded Daytona’s only multi-hit game, going 2-for-4 with a double … he extended his hitting streak to four games (5-for-12, .417).

Peoria Chiefs (A-): 12-20

Peoria broke out with 11 runs by the end of the third inning and held off a Cedar Rapids comeback attempt to pull off a 13-7 win over the Kernels.

? LHP Chris Siegfried picked up his first win of the season, ending his three-game losing skid.
? RF Kyler Burke went 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored, including his second homer of the year, a solo shot in the seventh inning.
