Peoria won back-to-back games for just the second time this season, as the Chiefs edged the Bandits, 4-3.

RHP Billy Muldowney (ND 0-0, 1.96) 5.1 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 5 K

? 3B Jovan Rosa went 2-for-4 with a walk and a run scored to extend his on-base streak to 15 games … he is batting .382 (21-for-55) with eight doubles, one homer, eight walks, and nine RBI over the stretch.
? LHP Dustin Sasser recorded his first win of the season, pitching 2.0 scoreless innings of relief, allowing two hits, fanning three, and walking none … has yet to surrender a run over six May contests (10.1 IP).

Northern Division 2nd Place (-1.0)

Omaha tied the game 2-2 in the bottom of the ninth, but it was their pair of runs in the bottom of the 12th that really counted, defeating the Cubs, 4-3 in 12 frames.

? 2B Eric Patterson went 4-for-6 with a double, a stolen base and an RBI … over the last four games, he is 10-for-19 (.526) with two doubles, a walk, two stolen bases, and two RBI.
? 3B-C Casey McGehee recorded his second consecutive multi-hit game, going 2-for-5 with a double and a run scored.
? RHP Justin Berg (4.0) and LHP J.R. Mathes (4.0) combined to hold the Royals scoreless through eight innings, allowing just three hits, while walking one and striking out six.


Tennessee Smokies (AA): 16-31 Overallsmokies.gif
North Division 5th Place (-14.5)

All of the scoring took place in the sixth inning as Mississippi scored two in the top of the inning and Tennessee responded with one in the bottom, as the Braves held on to beat the Smokies, 2-1.

LHP Donnie Veal (L 2-4, 3.20) 7.0 IP, 7 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 3 BB, 5 K

? SS Matt Camp, who went 3-for-4 with a run scored, raised his home batting average to .388 (26-for-67).
? RF Doug Deeds singled in the Smokies lone run, ending the day 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI.
? RHP Tanner Watson tossed 2.0 shutout innings of one-hit ball, striking out one and walking none … he extended his scoreless inning streak to 6.0.

East Division 3rd Place (-5.0)

Daytona could not convert hits to runs, as they fell to Clearwater, 5-1 … RHP Esmailin Caridad recorded his second consecutive quality outing and his second straight 7.0 inning outing.

HOMERS – Darwin Barney (2)

? SS Darwin Barney scored Daytona’s sole run on his solo homer in the third inning … all told went 3-for-4 with a homer, an RBI, and a run scored, extending his hitting streak to six games.
? CF Jim Adduci, who went 1-for-4, is hitting at a .326 (57-for-175) clip, good for fifth in the Florida State League … he is 16-for-45 (.356) with five walks and five RBI off left-handed pitching, compared to a .315 (41-for-130) average with 19 walks and 14 RBI against righties.
