Iowa’s slugfest with Albuquerque continued, with the I-Cubs getting the best of the Isotopes, 14-10.

? CF Andres Torres set the table, going 3-for-6 with two doubles and two runs scored out of the leadoff spot … the performance marked the fifth time he has recorded three or more hits in a game this season, raising his average to .315.
? C Koyie Hill went 3-for-5 with two doubles, a run scored and three RBI … he is hitting .421 (16-for-38) with three doubles, two home runs and 10 RBI when batting in the eighth spot in the lineup.

HOMERS – Doug Deeds (6)

? PH-RF Doug Deeds tied the game with a solo home run while pinch-hitting for starter Donnie Veal in the fifth inning … he finished the game 3-for-3 with a double, the homer, two runs scored and an RBI.
? 3B Josh Lansford recorded his first hits since his promotion from Daytona, going 2-for-3 with a walk, two doubles, two runs scored and an RBI.
? The Tennessee ‘pen combined for 4.0 innings of two-hit, shutout ball, allowing one walk while striking out two to preserve the victory.

Peoria took Beloit to extra innings, but couldn’t overcome a three-run 10th inning from the Snappers, falling 4-1.

? CF Jonathan Wyatt went 2-for-5 with a run scored to raise his average to .351 … he has reached base safely in nine of his 11 games with the Chiefs, amassing a .415 on-base percentage.
? SS Nate Samson went 2-for-5 with an RBI … it was his ninth multi-hit game in June, raising his average to .343 (23-for-67) for the month.

Pitching ruled in Everett, where the Hawks and AquaSox combined for only seven hits, as the home team squeezed past Boise, 2-1.

HOMERS – Ryan Flaherty (1)

? SS Ryan Flaherty provided the offense with his first hit of the season, a solo shot in the second … he finished the game 1-for-4 with the homer, a run scored and an RBI.
? Starter Jay Jackson was sharper in his second outing of the year, allowing a run on one hit and a walk over 3.0 innings while striking out six … he gave up three runs in 2.0 innings in his first start.
