The Smokies scored four in the first inning and never looked back, continuing their hot start to the second half of the season with a 6-3 triumph over the Diamond Jaxx.

HOMERS – Tyler Colvin (6)

? LF Tyler Colvin went 2-for-5 with a homer, a run scored and three RBI … after the first two Smokies runners reached to start the game, Colvin failed twice to lay down a sacrifice bunt before cracking the three-run blast to put the Smokies in front for good.
? 3B Josh Lansford went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI … it was his third straight multi-hit game, raising his average to .317 (6-for-19) with three doubles in his first five games with Tennessee.
? RHP Rocket Roquet (1.0), LHP Darin Downs (0.1) and RHP Dumas Garcia (1.0) combined for 2.1 innings of perfect relief, striking out two to preserve the win.

Peoria forged ahead with a run in the seventh and added some insurance in the ninth to beat Burlington, 3-1.

RHP Hung-Wen Chen (W 2-4, 3.15) 6.0 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 2 K

HOMERS – Luis Bautista (4), Brandon Guyer (5)

? 1B Luis Bautista went 2-for-4 with a double, a homer, two runs scored and an RBI … he is hitting .392 (20-for-51) with five doubles, a homer, nine runs scored and seven RBI in 14 road games with Peoria.
? RF Cliff Andersen was 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI, marking his seventh three-hit game of the season.
? Starter Hung-Wen Chen allowed a run on five hits, no walks and two strikeouts over 6.0 innings to earn the victory … he has not allowed a walk in his last three starts, spanning 18.2 innings.

Boise erased a 3-1 deficit with a three-run eighth inning on their way to a 4-3 victory over the AquaSox.

LHP James Leverton (ND) 3.0 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 2 K

? DH Rebel Ridling went 3-for-5 with two doubles, a run scored and two RBI … his 11 RBI and .414 (12-for-29) batting average rank him second and third, respectively, in the Northwest League.
? LHP Harol Tolentino tossed 4.0 innings of relief, yielding one run on one hit and one walk while fanning two to earn his second victory of the year.
