? 1B Micah Hoffpauir recorded his sixth straight multi-hit affair and extended his hit streak to eight games, going 3-for-5 with a walk, a double, a homer, a run scored and two RBI … he is 18-for-37 (.486) with eight doubles, three homers, eight runs scored and 16 RBI over the streak.
? LF Jason Dubois hit his team-leading 12th home run as part of a three-hit game, finishing 3-for-4 with a walk, the homer, two runs scored and three RBI … it was his fourth homer in his last seven contests.

Tennessee rode the arm of Mitch Atkins and a late offensive explosion to an 8-0 shutout of Carolina, stretching their division lead back to 2.0 games.

HOMERS – Jake Fox (7), Kyle Reynolds (6)

? Starter Atkins turned in his 11th quality start of the year and picked up his team-leading ninth win, tossing 7.1 shutout innings, allowing just five hits and a walk while fanning three … he also had a good day at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a run scored.
? LF Jake Fox‘s lone hit proved to be the decisive one, a two-run, sixth-inning blast that put the Smokies in front for good … Fox finished 1-for-5 with the dinger, a run scored and two RBI.
? CF Tyler Colvin tied a season-high with four hits, finishing 4-for-5 with a double and two runs scored.


Daytona Cubs (A+): 9-7 Overall

Daytona broke a 4-4 tie with three runs in the top of the ninth to take the series finale from Brevard County, 7-4.

? C Blake Lalli hit in his fourth straight game, going 1-for-4 with a run scored and three RBI … he is 7-for-16 (.438) with two doubles, three runs scored and six RBI over that span.
? 2B-C Robinson Chirinos went 1-for-4 with two RBI … he has hit safely in each of his six games with Daytona, recording a .375 average (9-for-24) with six walks, a double, a triple, two homers, nine runs scored and seven RBI.
? Daytona made the most of their offensive production, scoring seven runs on just six hits, all singles.


Peoria Chiefs (A-): 12-6 Overall

Peoria rode a masterful pitching performance from Chris Siegfried and the bullpen to a 1-0 blanking of the River Bandits.

? Starter Chris Siegfried tossed 5.0 innings of one-hit, scoreless ball, striking out one.
? 3B Marquez Smith provided the lone run on a solo shot, his team-leading 14th of the year … he finished 2-for-4 with the dinger, a run scored and an RBI.
? RHP Stephen Vento threw 2.0 hitless innings, walking one and fanning two to earn his ninth save.


Boise Hawks (A-): 10-10 Overall

Boise scored three in the bottom of the ninth, but their comeback fell short as they dropped a 10-7 decision to Vancouver.

HOMERS – Rebel Ridling (4), Carlos Calvert (1)

? C Carlos Perez turned in his fourth straight multi-hit game, going 3-for-5 with two doubles … he is 9-for-16 (.563) with three doubles, a run scored and two RBI over that stretch.
? 1B Rebel Ridling went 2-for-4 with a homer, two runs scored and an RBI … he leads the Northwest League with eight doubles, is tied for second with four homers, and his .377 average is good for fourth place.
