Game 1

Daytona scored four runs in the first, but managed only two base-runners the rest of the way, as Palm Beach came from behind to take game one, 6-4.

HOMERS – Marquez Smith (1)

? 3B Marquez Smith hit a first-inning grand slam, accounting for all four of the Daytona runs … he finished the game 1-for-3 with the long ball, a run scored and four RBI.
? LHP Jayson Ruhlman hurled 2.0 innings of two-hit, shutout relief, fanning two … he has allowed just one earned run in his last 17.1 innings pitched (0.52 ERA).

Game 2

This time Daytona made sure their early lead would hold up, scoring in four of the first five frames on their way to a 6-3 victory and a split of the double-header.

Iowa and Colorado needed extra-innings, but the Sky Sox scored three times in the top of the twelfth to prevail, 5-2.

? 2B Bobby Scales reached base three times, going 1-for-3 with two walks … he is hitting .358 (57-for-159) since June 1, after hitting .257 (39-for-152) over April and May.
? C Anthony Richie logged the I-Cubs only multi-hit game, going 2-for-3 with a run scored.
RHP Michael Wuertz tossed 3.0 perfect innings of relief, punching out seven of the nine batters he faced.

Tennessee Smokies (AA): 21-18 Overallsmokies.gif
North Division 2nd Place (-2.0)

Tennessee trailed 3-0 into the sixth, but the Smokies put up two in the sixth and five in the eighth, roaring back to beat the BayBears, 7-3.

? 3B Kyle Reynolds went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double, a run scored, an RBI and a stolen base … he is hitting .438 (14-for-32) in 10 games against Mobile this year.
? 2B Nate Spears went 2-for-5 with a triple, a run scored and two RBI.
? LHP Casey Lambert tossed 2.0 perfect innings, striking out one, lowering his ERA to 1.80.

Game 1

Peoria and Kane County resumed their postponed game from Wrigley Field … after pushing the game to extra innings, the Cougars scored twice in the top of the twelfth, only to watch the Chiefs respond with three runs to walk-off with a 9-8 triumph.

HOMERS – Rebel Ridling (4), Brandon Guyer (9)

? LF Brandon Guyer went 3-for-5 with a homer, a triple, two runs scored, an RBI and a stolen base … his 15 stolen bases lead the team.
? 1B Rebel Ridling went 3-for-5 with a homer, a run scored and two RBI … Ridling and Guyer went deep on back-to-back pitches in the second inning.

Game 2

After the dramatic conclusion of the Road to Wrigley game, Kane County took the drama out of the encore, thumping the Chiefs, 12-1.
