Daytona stranded 13 runners in a 5-3 loss to Fort Myers in Game 3 of the Florida State League’s best-of-five championship series…the Cubs get another crack at securing the FSL championship tonight at 7:05 ET…if necessary, Game 5 is tomorrow night at Daytona.
Daytona earned the playoff berth by winning the FSL East Division’s second half with a 38-24 record, a .613 winning percentage…the Cubs have won three FSL championships: 1995, 2000 and 2004 (co-champions due to storms wiping out the championship series).
