It wasn’t what you’d call perfect, but Cubs High-A prospect Matt Loosen was nothing short of dominant Monday.
The 24-year-old right-hander tossed 106 pitches for his first career no-hitter, striking out nine and walking just two as Daytona defeated Dunedin. Loosen improved to 3-2 on the year with a 2.25 ERA for the D-Cubs.
