Now Playing: Cubs Social Media Night
On Wednesday, the Cubs held their third-annual Social Media Night to celebrate their ongoing interaction with fans. ESPN personality and columnist Michael Wilbon and ESPN sports business reporter Darren Rovell were on hand at Wrigley Field’s Captain Morgan Club for a panel discussion regarding social media and sports. The duo fielded questions ranging from the importance of Twitter to how journalism has changed with the advancement of technology. Along with the panel, the Cubs handed out raffle prizes including a game-used Starlin Castro bat and an autographed Anthony Rizzo jersey. One contestant even got to throw out the first pitch at that night’s game. Tickets for the sold-out event went quickly, so here’s a recap of the afternoon’s festivities in case you missed it.
