In action: Vine Line talks to Kelsey Grammer
@CubsInsider caught Vine Line and the Cubs marketing team in action, as we stretched out with Kelsey Grammer after his great rendition of “Take Me Out to the Ball Game.”
Grammer absolutely loved his first trip to the Friendly Confines, telling us how he strongly favors older ballparks—he ornately phrased his admiration for Wrigley Field in a way that only he can. For someone who has performed on some of TV’s most popular sitcoms as well as on Broadway, he loved the crowd’s enthusiasm. He certainly had the singing voice of someone who has worked on the stage. We’ll post some quotes from the interview in the next week, and you can look for a full interview in a coming issue of Vine Line.

1000 Words: Jeff Garlin will be keeping score too
Jeff Garlin will be visiting Wrigley Field today to sing the seventh-inning stretch. The comedian got his start in Chicago and now is a leading voice in the animated movie Toy Story 3 coming out in June.
One of the Cubs’ most enthusiastic celebrity fans, Garlin was keeping tabs on Opening Day in our Scorecard EXTRA while watching from the PNC Club. Will you be keeping score this weekend, too?
